Fur Baby Spotlight

What’s in a name? That, which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet. So…Meet Mouse.

Yes. Mouse.

As you can see, Mouse is a veritable mountain of dog. He slobbers and drools. He’s enthusiastic and curious. He’s somewhat clumsy, not quite aware of his size, and he loves taking hoomans for long, spirited walks. Yes, Mouse casts a mighty shadow. Yet in stark contrast to his somewhat intimidating 120-pound stature, he has a heart as big as his head and he wants so desperately to be loved.

Mouse came to us on January 31 of 2020. He’s a mixed breed, approximately 5 years old, neutered and up-to-date on all of his age-appropriate vaccinations.

Because of his large build, we recommend that interested families with children make sure the kiddos are taller than him.It would also be a good idea to bring his potential hoomansiblings along when you come see him to make sure everyone gets along. If you’re looking for a big, lovable goof-ball to share in life’s adventures, here’s your boy. He’s wonderful. He’s waiting. Won’t you be his Valentine?

  1. This is Patricia from the Humane Society of the Nature Coast.
Thank you SO much for sharing our story about Mouse!
One thing though… My fault. He’s only been with us since January 31, 2020, rather than 2019.
He really is a love bug. Please… There must be someone out there who needs the love he has to offer!
