Become someone’s hero today by donating convalescent plasma.The Broward Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with OneBlood and the Sheriff’s Foundation of Broward County, will host a second Convalescent Plasma Drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at the Public Safety Building, 2601 W. Broward Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale.
The purpose of this drive is to provide COVID-19 patients with the transfused plasma of people who have recovered from COVID-19. This transfusion uses the antibodies produced in the previously infected person to help the current patient fight the virus, potentially helping them recover.
Appointments are required, and registration is simple. Join us in helping possibly save a life by visiting BSO/OneBlood Drive or texting CCP to 61755 to schedule your appointment. Blood donations will also be accepted if you do not meet the requirements for the convalescent plasma donation.
