Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left one women dead on Saturday morning.
At approximately 3:19 a.m. Saturday morning, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a traffic crash in the 2900 block of Northwest 27th Avenue in Pompano Beach.
Upon deputies arrival they located a female victim, identified as Jael Findlay, suffering from injuries that appeared to be from the traffic crash.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded and transported Findlay to North Broward Health where she was pronounced deceased. While at the hospital it was discovered that Findlay suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.
Detectives on scene determined that Findlay was involved in a traffic crash and then was subsequently shot multiple times by an unknown suspect.
BSO Homicide and Crime Scene units are investigating this as a homicide.
