Cape Coral Police Department- Man Drops Drugs Right In Front of Officers

July 24, 2020) – A man at the scene of an overdose at a local motel managed to drop a box full of drugs right in front of the officers he was speaking with.

Cape Coral Police Patrol officers responded to 3608 Del Prado Boulevard South (Casa Loma Motel) regarding a drug overdose call. As they arrived at the door, Cody Wynn (W/M, DOB: 11-9-95) exited the room. He began speaking with officers, and while doing so dropped the box he was holding on the ground, spilling a plethora of drugs onto the ground. After placing Wynn under arrest for the drugs, he was also found to be in possession of counterfeit U.S. currency. A CCPD detective who is also a department liaison to the Secret Service responded regarding the counterfeit money.

Wynn was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription (2 counts), possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of counterfeit money (more than 10 bills). He was additionally found to have a felony violation of probation warrant. He was transported to the Lee County Jail.
