To kick-off our scallop season safety, can you guess what the daily bag limit is for scallops? If you said 2 gallons of whole bay scallops in a shell, you are correct!
Some laws limit the number of scallops recreational divers can collect. As mentioned, you can collect 2 gallons of whole scallops per person or 1 pint of scallop meat per person.
Per vessel, a maximum of 10 gallons of scallops in their shell or 1/2 gallon of scallop meat is permitted.
