8th UPDATE 6:57 am 5/14: There are no changes to the information and the map that was posted early this morning regarding the mandatory evacuations and the high risk areas. Road closures, evacuations and returning residents will be dependent on the fire movement and containment which is determined by the fire department, Division of Forestry, the Collier County Emergency Operations Center and law enforcement. If there is a change in that information by those agencies we will post updates. I-75 is still closed at this time. Please use alt. route.
7th UPDATE: An updated high risk map provided by Collier County EOC was posted for potentially affected areas. Those areas are highlighted. There are still no road closures reported.
6th UPDATE: Updated evacuation information and a map that shows the affected areas provided by Collier County EOC and Greater Naples Fire Control District. There are no road closures at this point.
5th UPDATE: We are asking that everyone please be patient with our first responders. This is a dynamic situation and as apparatus is moved to fight the fire there will be temporary road closures and traffic back-ups. Please understand we are working as hard as we can to effectively and efficiently move equipment and resources. We understand that residents are frustrated and we are moving as quickly as we can.
4th UPDATE: FHP is reporting I-75 is closed due to the fire from the 100 mile marker to the 80 mile marker. Traffic from the 100 mile marker is being re-routed to Collier Blvd. Traffic from the 80 mile marker is being re-routed to SR 29.
3rd UPDATE: A primary citizen contact and reunification center has been established at Max Hasse Park, 3390 Golden Gate Boulevard W. Naples, FL 34120. FWC and CCSO will be on-site.
2nd UPDATE: A citizen contact center has been set up for affected residents at 40th Avenue Southeast and Everglades Boulevard. Residents can access this area from Interstate 75 at the Everglades Boulevard overpass.
UPDATE:
The road closure has expanded to include all of Everglades Boulevard South from 40th Avenue Southeast to Golden Gate Boulevard East.
If you have proof of residence for one of the affected streets, deputies are letting some drivers through to tend to pets, livestock and other family members who might be in the area. Deputies are stationed at Everglades Boulevard South and Golden Gate Boulevard East.
There are two now unrelated brush fires in the same area along 20th Avenue Southeast and 22nd Avenue Southeast where some evacuations are also taking place.
Keep in mind there heavy smoke in the area, which motorists will be able to see from along Interstate 75. Please use caution in the area while driving.

Deputies have evacuated homes along three residential streets in Golden Gate Estates as crews battle a brush fire in the area.
Homes along 34th Avenue Southeast, 36th Avenue Southeast and 38th Avenue Southeast have been evacuated for a brush fire at 36th Avenue SE and Everglades Boulevard South.
All of Everglades Boulevard South is closed to through traffic from 16th Avenue Southeast to 40th Avenue Southeast.
Greater Naples Fire is on scene.
