Death Investigation at Riverview Apartment Complex

UPDATE: Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office identified and arrested a suspect connected to a Riverview man’s death.
On Friday, August, 28, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Chance Clark, 21, for robbing and killing a 43-year-old man earlier this month.
Clark was transported to the Orient Road Jail and charged with First Degree Murder with a Firearm and Robbery with a Firearm. A mugshot is provided below.
“Committed and thorough, our detectives work tirelessly to bring criminals to justice,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This young person acted ruthlessly with no respect for human life. I am proud of our team of skilled and dedicated professionals who don’t stop until the job is done and heinous criminals, like this man, are locked up.”

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation at an apartment complex on the 7800 block of Colonial Club Court in Riverview.
On Saturday, August 15, 2020, at approximately 9:30 p.m., deputies found a 43-year-old male with life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he later died.
“We do not believe this was a random act of violence,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We are asking the public to please contact us if they know anything about this ruthless incident where a man’s life was selfishly taken.”
