The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that took place during the early morning hours.
On October 29, 2020, at approximately 12:07 a.m., the HCSO Communications Bureau received a 911 call in reference to a man who arrived at Brandon Regional Hospital dead. The victim had been driven there by a friend.
Deputies have learned that the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with a male and a female. The altercation took place on the 4000 block of Fontana Place in Valrico. The male suspect later shot the victim in the upper body. A friend drove him to Brandon Regional Hospital, where the victim was dead upon arrival.
Deputies are searching for two suspects, a male, and a female. They continue interviewing witnesses and neighbors who may have seen or heard something overnight.
“This is an active investigation,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We are still investigating whether or not these two parties knew each other prior to the deadly shooting that took place earlier this morning. I want to assure everyone though, that there is no threat to the public at this time.”
