Two vehicles traveling on the turnpike exited at Okeechobee Blvd and began to travel east. Shots were fired in the area of Spencer Drive and Okeechobee Blvd resulting in on male being struck in the upper torso. The male was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Two persons of interest have been detained and are currently being interviewed by detectives.
This is still an active and ongoing investigation.
