The Florida Highway Patrol investigated a traffic crash in front of Alan Jay Chevrolet where an individual was seen throwing a gun into a nearby retention pond. Our Underwater Search and Recovery Team assisted and successfully located the firearm!
The Hardee County Sheriff’s Office Underwater Search and Recovery Team consists of sheriff’s deputies who’ve met the training and physical requirements to successfully complete dive operations.
Dive missions may include underwater searches, forensic searches for physical evidence, recovery operations, and rescue and safety operations.
The Underwater Search and Recovery Team may encounter hazardous and difficult situations, and therefore trains on a regular basis to perform effectively.
