Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance where two individuals appeared to have been involved in a fight. The suspect was seen fleeing the scene by jumping into the canal and swimming away. The suspect refused to comply with a deputy’s commands to swim back to the residence. He would swim from dock to dock to avoid law enforcement. The suspect eventually swam back to shore and was arrested.
