Original Information – 06-19-20
On 06-18-20 just after 7 p.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of Treiman Boulevard (US-301) and Reynolds Street in Ridge Manor regarding a Shooting.
Upon arrival, deputies learned that the (female) victim was travelling southbound on Treiman Boulevard in her vehicle along with a male passenger. As the victim drove southbound, she observed a black Nissan sedan travelling northbound. The victim and the male passenger both believed they recognized the vehicle as one belonging to an individual they had both been having issues with, in Pasco County, over the past week.
The victim told deputies that she observed the black Nissan begin swerving, so she pulled her vehicle off to the side of the roadway, in fear that she would be struck head-on.
As the victim pulled her vehicle to the side of the road, the driver of the black Nissan fired several shots at the victim’s vehicle. The victim and the passenger identified the driver of the black Nissan as Jake Bradley, the same person they had been having issues with. The victim and passenger also stated there were three other individuals in the Nissan at the time.
The victim’s vehicle was struck three times on the driver’s side. One of the rounds went through the driver’s door, striking the victim in the thigh.
Both the victim and the passenger provided a description of the firearm and confirmed that the driver of the Nissan and the person who shot at them was Jake Bradley.
The male passenger waved down a passerby; the passerby called 9-1-1.
An independent witness, who happened to be nearby at the time of the incident, also provided a statement to deputies. The statement matched that of the victim and her passenger.
Hernando County Fire Rescue transported the victim to a trauma center, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
