Hernando County Sheriff Office- Update – Arrest Made


– Detectives Investigating Early Morning Armed Robbery at Wawa in Brooksville


Through investigation, detectives identified the suspect responsible for committing the Armed Commercial Robbery (Wawa).

The suspect was identified as David Michael Brady, W/M DOB/03-23-1991.

Detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of Brady and have been working tirelessly to locate him.

Earlier this afternoon detectives located Brady at an address on Decatur Avenue in the City of Brooksville. Brady was taken into custody and transported to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, where he will be interviewed by detectives.

Brady will be charged as follows:

– Armed Robbery
o Bond – $75,000
– Possession of Firearm by Felon
o Bond – $25,000
– Retail Theft
o Bond – $10,000.

On 07-07-20 just after 5 a.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Wawa, located at 20101 Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville, regarding an Armed Commercial Robbery.

Preliminary investigation reveals a white male, who was concealing his identity, entered the store and robbed the clerk at gunpoint.

Immediately following the robbery, the male entered a vehicle that was waiting in the parking lot and fled the area.
