LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATIONS
• Deputies responded to:
o Agency Assist – District 1/Zone 2 – Deputies were dispatched to Oak Hill Hospital in reference to a two-year-old child with injuries. The father advised the child had been with his mother for the last seven days in Pasco County. Upon returning home, the father noticed the child’s injuries – Investigation active – 2020-16974.
o Death Investigation – District 2/Zone 7 — Deputies responded to a call of an elderly man who had committed suicide. The man, who was terminally ill, had died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound – Investigation active – 2020-17044.
o Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon – Location of incident unknown – Deputies responded to a residence on Tarrytown Drive in reference to a man being stabbed. The victim refused to cooperate with law enforcement – Investigation active – 2020-17145.
o Felon in Possession of a Firearm/Narcotics/Fleeing to Elude/DUI Crash – District 1/Zone 8 – Deputies responded to the area of Twigg Street and Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard in reference to a shooting. A witness reported an individual was firing a handgun from a moving vehicle. Deputies spotted the suspect’s vehicle, which fled upon being seen by law enforcement. As the suspect attempted to elude law enforcement he crashed his vehicle into a tree. The suspect was taken into custody. A bag was found near the suspect’s vehicle that contained various narcotics and a handgun – Arrest/Male – 2020-17151.
o Death Investigation – District 1/Zone 1 – A woman called to report finding her fiancé deceased – Investigation active – 2020-17156.
o Suspicious Incident – District 2/Zone 3 – Employees at a McDonald’s received third-party information that individuals in the parking lot were threatening to do damage to the business after being told they could not eat inside. Deputies made contact with three individuals outside the restaurant who denied making any threats of violence – 2020-16932.
