P-1 was attempting to cross Lantana Road (not within a marked crosswalk) just east of the intersection of Bangalow Drive, in an unknown direction of travel. At the time of the collision, P-1 was pushing his bicycle.
V-1 was traveling eastbound within the center lane of Lantana Road, approaching the intersection of Bangalow Drive.
As V-1 traversed the intersection and continued eastbound, P-1 was immediately sideswiped by V-1. After the impact, P-1 was thrown to the pavement and came to rest within the eastbound center lane of travel. After the impact with P-1, V-1 continued eastbound on Lantana Road and left the area.
P-1 was transported to Delray Medical Center for injuries sustained during the collision, where later he was pronounced deceased.
V-1 has not been identified, but will have possible passenger side quarter panel damage (the passenger side mirror will be broken free and missing).
