For well over a hundred years, the cheery lights of Christmas at the Hernando County Courthouse in the center of our quaint City of Brooksville have shed a warm, kind feeling of love and joy. And this year is no different for the 100’s of local towns people who crowded in to participate in the beginning of yet, another celebration of Christmas.
Wonderful entertainment, hot chocolate, local elected officials and dignitaries, food trucks and the smell of popcorn, numerous crafts booths and the lovely lights of the “official” Christmas tree all ushered in the beginning of the 2019 Christmas Season.
It was a warm, friendly crowd that strolled the downtown streets. They were busy enjoying the many offerings of the local vendors as well as simply laughing and enjoying special friendships and family. The brisk, cool air and the various sounds and smells all contributed to a lovely evening. If you weren’t able to be there, you missed a very special event.
