Lee County Sheriffs Office- Dealing with an Aggressive Alligator

While in the area of Buckingham today, Sheriff Carmine Marceno was made aware of an aggressive alligator that had been venturing onto a citizen’s property and killing livestock.

MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife, Sheriff Marceno and a certified alligator trapper responded to the property and sucessfully wrangled and removed the 9-foot alligator.

FWC places a high priority on public safety and administers a Statewide Nuisance Alligator Program (SNAP) to address complaints concerning alligators that pose a threat to people, pets or property.
