LOCK IT OR LOSE IT
For reasons unknown, many residents choose to leave valuables in their vehicles and to leave those vehicles unlocked.
Each morning, Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies respond to calls from vehicle owners reporting the theft of valued items left unsecured, in cars and trucks, overnight.
Unfortunately, some of those “valued” items include firearms.
Sheriff Carmine Marceno and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office respectfully ask vehicle owners to remove all valuables from their vehicles, especially firearms, and to secure their cars, trucks and vans.
