Following the introduction of the Real-Time Intelligence Center, which placed state-of-the-art technology at the fingertips of Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies and command staff, Sheriff Carmine Marceno has similarly enhanced his Corrections Division with a most advanced intelligence system, CorreTrak.
Prior to the installation of the new CorreTrak system, correctional staff struggled with cumbersome log books that were used to record critical inmate data.
The CorreTrak hardware and software allows the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to streamline all tasks and the record-keeping associated with security checks, meal delivery, inmate location, service provisions, daily activities, head count and significantly more.
Inmates are identified by scanning an identification bar code which provides real-time information through the agency’s jail management system. The touchscreen systems utilizes a dashboard that is accessible throughout the facility and retains all records, movements and activities associated with the particular inmate.
In addition to immediate access to critical information, the CorreTrak system enhances staff mobility and reduces the amount of time previously required for documentation of inmate-related activities.
