“Predators like Randal Deemer do not belong on our streets,” stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “Our detectives conducted an extensive investigation, to include analyzing over 500,000 images and videos. Their hard work is second to none and I couldn’t be more proud.”

On April 22, 2020, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in reference to several images of child sexual exploitative material being traced back to a residence in Fort Myers.

Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit assumed the investigation and confirmed the existence of 15 images of child pornography located within the home of Randal Deemer (08/03/1966).

On July 9, 2020, a search warrant on Deemer’s residence was executed and detectives recovered numerous electronics that could potentially contain child pornography. Detectives requested a digital forensic examination from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Digital Forensics Unit for these electronics. In total, detectives recovered over 500,000 images of adult and child pornography.

Randal Deemer was subsequently arrested and charged with 7 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. These charges carry an enhancement due to the substantial amount of exploitative material located.
