Deputies arrived on scene and located a male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was then transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Due to the nature of the incident, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded and assumed the investigation.
This death investigation is considered to be a homicide.
