Daily rains, heavy downpours and saturated ground create hazardous driving conditions in Southwest Florida. Motorists need to be alert and prepared for hidden potholes, ponding and streets with slow runoff and unexpected flooding. Please slow down and be extra cautious when these circumstances occur. Remember the saying, “Wipers on, Headlights on”, so your vehicle will be more visible on the road during the rain.

Everyone is reminded to “Fasten Your Seat Belts, be courteous to drivers and pedestrians and together we can reduce traffic related fatalities, injuries and property damage.
