Madison county sheriffs office – URGENT MISSING CHILD ALERT


Deputies and Investigators of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office are currently searching for 5 year old Naomi Rose Herring, DOB 04/11/2015. Naomi is approximately three foot tall and weighs 35 pounds. Naomi has brown eyes and brown shoulder length hair. Naomi was last seen wearing a black and yellow bumble bee dress and blue shorts.

Deputies were dispatched to the Deerwood Inn located 155 St. Augustine Road, Madison FL near the I-10 interchange of South State Road 53 at approximately 1:59 AM on Monday 07/13/2020 in response to the report of a missing child. Upon arrival deputies were informed five year old Naomi Herring was last seen asleep in one of the motel rooms at approximately 12:30 AM along with another child in the care of an adult male. At 1:40 AM, the mother returned to the room and found the room door to be closed but unlocked. Upon entering the room the remaining occupants were sleeping but Naomi was not inside. The surrounding area is still currently being searched by multiple deputies along with the Canine tracking team from the Florida Department of Corrections (Madison Unit). Air support from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit is also currently being utilized. The investigation into the disappearance of Naomi along with search efforts remain very active.
