A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run in Pompano Beach on March 14.
At approximately 1:07 a.m., a woman was struck by an unidentified vehicle in the outside, eastbound thru lane of West Atlantic Boulevard just west of the Interstate 95 overpass.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue transported the pedestrian to Broward Health North where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver failed to remain on the scene. There were no witnesses to the crash.
The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
The traffic homicide investigation continues.
