CR 222 Animal Abuse/Neglect Investigative Update
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office investigation regarding the CR 222 alleged animal abuse/neglect case is now in the completion phase. This afternoon, the Detective presented the case to the State Attorney’s Office for review and a filing decision.
T&D heard about the CR 222 animal case and saw an opportunity to help; they reached out to the Board of County Commissioners, who directed them to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. T&D built a kennel area for the dogs free of charge. Workers poured concrete, built wooden platforms, provided fencing, and relocated owner-built dog houses. We want to thank T&D for their generosity.
