Due to COVID-19, United Way of Hernando Countyhas added a virtual component to its annual school supply drive. United Way understands that a large majority of our schools and families struggle to supply their students with even the most basic tools for the new school year. Every year, teachers spend an estimated amount of $500+ out of their pocket for classroom essentials and project supplies.
United Way’s Stuff the Bus event takes place over one weekend in the summer advocating for classroom needs outside of Publix and Walmart stores. #CovidCantStopGOOD Now more than ever, the need for school supplies is expected to increase this fall. With purchasing supplies online, you can virtually help supply our local schools with extra tools for students to succeed.
Contribute a pack of pencils or even 20 packs of scissors! You can even purchase a gift card and we’ll do the shopping for you. Every little bit counts!
*All donations remain local and will be distributed to Hernando County schools.
