UPDATE * PBSO Marine Unit is Investigating a Boating Accident in the C-51 canal – One deceased and two transported to a local hospital

V-1 was traveling east on the C-51 canal when it collided with a concrete piling located underneath the Congress Ave eastbound ramp onto Southern Blvd.  One of the three occupants was ejected off V-1 into the water and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.  The operator was also injured and was transported to the hospital.  The other occupant on V-1 died as a result of her injuries.

 

All three occupants on V-1 are civilian employees with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission.  The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office will be the lead investigating agency.

PBSO Marine Unit is currently investigating a boating accident that occurred in the C-51 canal near Congress Avenue and Southern Blvd bridge.  Three individuals were aboard the boat.  One individual is deceased and the other two have been transported to a local hospital for treatment.
